Amnesty International’s request to The Hague Court to investigate the war crimes of the Zionist regime

Amnesty International asked the International Criminal Court to conduct an investigation into the August attack of the Zionist regime on Gaza.

According to ISNA, quoted by Raei Alyoum newspaper, Amnesty International announced in a report: The International Criminal Court should conduct an investigation into Israel’s illegal attacks on the Gaza Strip in August 2022; Attacks that are considered war crimes.

In its report, Amnesty International has included images of the effects of the attacks and analysis of satellite images and the testimony of dozens of people. In this report published under the title “They were just children”, there are documents and proofs of the war crimes committed by the Zionist regime in the attack on Gaza in August.

Agnes Callamard, Secretary General of Amnesty International, said: The recent Israeli attack on Gaza lasted only three days, but this time was enough to create terror among the besieged residents. There should be an investigation into the war crimes committed in this attack. These violations take place in line with the illegal siege of Gaza. Blockade is the main tool used by the apartheid system of Israel. Palestinians in Gaza are subject to oppression, isolation and humanitarian disaster. The Hague Tribunal must consider crimes against humanity in the context of its investigation of the occupied Palestinian territories.

Amnesty International’s statement said: Amnesty International interviewed 42 people, including victims of the attacks and relatives of those killed or injured, eyewitnesses and doctors. Israeli authorities have been preventing Amnesty International from entering Gaza since 2012. That is why Amnesty International signed a contract with a person there who visited 17 centers that were attacked. We analyzed the collected documents and satellite images.

On the 5th of August, the Zionist regime carried out a military operation against the Islamic Jihad and its military branch, Saraya al-Quds, and according to the UN statistics, 49 Palestinians were martyred in these attacks.

According to Amnesty International statistics, 33 Palestinians were martyred in this attack, 17 of whom were civilians. In this attack, a 22-year-old fine arts student who lived with his family in a village near Khan Yunis in southern Gaza was martyred. His sister and mother were also injured.

Amnesty International stated: Israeli forces deliberately targeted the home of this young man’s family, and there is no reason or proof that this family was involved in any armed conflict.

Also, on August 7, the Zionist regime targeted al-Falujah cemetery in Jabalia in northern Gaza with a rocket, which resulted in the death of five children. These children were residents of Jabalia camp.
